Type E Air Spider

Keystone is a leading manufacturer of Type “E” Air Spiders for the oil and gas industry, offering models rated for 175 tons (350,000 lbs.) and 250 tons (500,000 lbs.). These pneumatic-operated spiders are designed to support tubing strings during production tubular running or retrieval operations, with a size range from 2 3/8″ to 7 5/8″.

The Type “E” Air Spider mounts securely to the rig floor or the top of the stack and uses 90–120 psi air pressure to actuate its lift arms, crankshaft, and link system, enabling quick and secure slip engagement. Its body design allows the passage of tubulars up to 7 5/8” in diameter without removal, accommodating tubing packers and other downhole tools.
