KET Type C Air Spiders
KET offers the Type C Air Spider, load rated for 125 tons in accordance with API Spec 7K. The Type C Air Spider is designed to support a static string of tubing when raised or lowered from the well. Operated by pneumatic pressure, the cylinder drives a mechanical lift assembly that raises and lowers the slip inserts into the spider bowl.
This model can handle pipe sizes from 1.315” through 5 1/2” and is engineered to enhance rig floor safety by reducing the number of personnel needed during slip operations. It can be operated directly from the driller’s console or from a safe distance, improving efficiency while reducing accidents and fatigue.
